Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I may have exaggerated a little.

Regardless, Kevin really cares about smoothness and thats a big deal to me. I could clearly see and understand all the tricks he did. It was so nice to see a guy make something pretty rather than another flippy floppy bang bang video.  And there was no awful 'driving to the kite field - setting up kite - I think I'm in a RedBull add' in the beginning. No dudes acting serious either. Can't stand that crap.  You're flying kites... not on MTV.
I remember some old kite video where they first went to an espresso stand and the flier did this dramatic slow motion unroll of his kitebag.  Wink

Even Mark will tell you that was cheesy as all get out.

The whole thing has become so cliche. It's 2011, we can probably think of something else to show than driving to the kite field and dudes acting serious.

I watched part of a video the other day and it went to the three-minute mark before the guy actually got to the field and began the process of unrolling his bag. When he finally launch his kite, I was so bored I moved onto something else. Bizarro.
