One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Nitros are larger diameter sticks. Stiffer than the equivalent weight PTs

That's a simplification.

I believe the Nitros are made with a higher mod. (denser) carbon than the Pt series rods. The reason I say that is because the Nitros seem to be quite a bit more reactive than the Pt rods. Kmac or Jon T. could say for sure.

GWTW's page has all the info & spec's in one spot on the differences

GWTW - Skyshark Black Diamond Series

I really like the Nitro's since the stiffness seems to suit my awkward flying style.

Spar information from Shawn @ Viperkites

Black Diamond Nitro             15.00   g (32.5")    Deflection 0.290"
Black Diamond Nitro Strong   17.50   g (32.5")    Deflection 0.255"

So the Nitro Strong are stiffer and 2.5 grams heavier too.
