Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Well, the new site has a nice fresh look, easy to use features. I don't know about keeping out trolls, I didn't see that as a huge problem on the old forum.
The 'no politics' rule should go far to keep discussions civil...

Much nicer.  That blinking "new post" icon has gotta go though. Wink
Is the logo kite from the old KiteLife site, perchance?

Okay, another vote for killing the blink.  That was an accommodation for a certain southern gentleman that couldn't tell if there were noew posts or not.

Well ... maybe I "archived it".  Do you think Mike would've minded?  We did, after all, share a life changing experience together in Clearwater many years ago.

I kinda like the blink, because i dont seem to find anywhere we have the view new posts since (xx/xx) option, that's there in the old forum.

so far so good, not sure it's better, but definitely different. Content will tell the tale, sure hope the pertinent and useful content is archived though.
