Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Well, the blinking new posts icon was very annoying. I think that the different color, and he reversed position is plenty to tell the difference.

As for the mouse cursers, I do have some rev cursers available for download at http://www.theflyingwatty.zoomshare.com/5.html. Any cursers that work on Windows XP should work on Vista as well. I have tried my rev ones on a Vista machine with no problems.

Cool, more in line with the other forum software I've used as of late.

One of the biggest things for me is the ability to be notified by email when replies have been posted to a topic of interest.  Grin

It's obviously different from the old forum, but the functionality is richer and more customizable once you get the hang of it... Thanks Steve, well done.

That photo is a glimpse at my inner child ... plus I was such a damned cute kite (yeah, I knw ... what happened???)

Who colorized that old Brownie photo for you?   Cheesy

The new forum/layout/scheme will take a little getting used to - I can't tell if I like the new messages at the top (since I seem to have to scroll down to see the previous post to get a grasp of where the topic was going), or at the bottom and have to scroll anyway...  Roll Eyes

Thanks for allowing us to play in your sandbox  Grin

You are a funny guy Spence ... My father was well ahead of his time and had one of those newfangled color cameras.

And try this:
Click on profile tab in the menu bar at top of page.
Under Modify Profile open Look and Layout Preferences
Uncheck Show most recent posts at the top

Thanks Steve - I clicked it to try it out.  I'm not sure I like it, some others may.

Is there no way to search the member list by location?
