Hey Everyone!

First post on GWTW!! Looking for some help repairing a kite my parents gave me.

First off, here is a pic of the kite:

Here is a pic of the problem:

and here is a pic of what it is supposed to look like:

Info on the kite:

It has Levelonekites.com written on it. it has a C.21 printed on it on the right side. i believe it is http://new.levelonekites.com/content/view/78/118/ kite from the website but since 1. its in german and 2. it has no pictures. I'm not sure. how would i go about fixing this and how complicated would it be? im pretty good at DIY stuff, just need some guidance on this kite!

Thanks in Advance,
RTM

I've got a bunch of those very same fittings.
PM me your address and I'll send you some if Steve doesn't have them.

PM sent! thanks for the quick reply.

Can anyone offer some guidance as to how to change these out? looks like they have 2 C-clips glued in-place one above and one below it....afraid ill break the rod trying to pry those off.

Man the C-21 is a nice kite you got quite the gem there.  THe fittings your looking for are I believe the old FSD leading edge connector.  Steve should have what you need or be able to get you an APA equivalent.  IIRC the C-21 used 5.5mm pultruded for leading edges.

You can get a de-bonder for the CA glue - may take some patience and several applications, but it will come loose.  Usually, as SKB said, the C-clips will come off without much effort.
