- Dual Line Kite Precision from UL to Vented for team fly or Mega fly
For team flying we fly 90 lb, 150 lb, and 300 lb. On rare occasion 500 lb. The 300 lb and 500 lb line aren't for the strength, it is for the drag factor to slow the kite down. For SUL and UL kites we fly 90 lb (never 50 lb), standard kite 150 lb or 300 lb, depending on wind, and vented 150 lb to 300 lb, again depending on wind.
Length we do 120' sets of line and then have 20' extensions one weight higher, to make a 140' total. The nice thing about that is when the wind is lighter or you have a short field you can fly on 120'. And the one weight higher of 20' gives a little drag to slow the kite down if the wind is up. Also it is a quick adjustment that your spotters can do, at least to pull the line off.
