Of Fish and Kites

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I don't know how much this has been pointed out in the past but since I have not seen it anywhere else...

Have you ever felt that kite flying has more to do with controlling a fish in water rather than some flying device?
In the month and a bit that I have been flying stunt kites I have the feeling of seeing a colorful angelfish swooshing across a liquid medium in front of me.
The feeling is more liquid than airy.
I think it is a great albeit strange feeling.

Yes. Many people have commented on how a sport kite traveling horizontally looks like a fish. Myself included.

My Fish & Shark are designed by Joel Scholz, and made by Go Fly a Kite. Don't know whether they're still in production, though ...

Go fly does not exist as a kite maker anymore....
Joel does not make any kites anymore either.....
search for the Neptune Dual lines, Jaws dual line, hummer, moth, they were all the same framing and shape just different skins...
