One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

email from Ken McNeill

Hi John,

Good to hear from you.  I'm actually working on the Mojo today.  Doing a couple variations of trailing edge treatments, one bound and the other rolled.  I hope to be able to fly both versions tomorrow.

Definitely going to do the Mojo, but probably a limited run of 20, then the patterns will go back into the vault.  I'm thinking UL only.  I'll make an announcement on my blog in the next couple days, when I've got everything set up.  I'll then start a list and ask for a small deposit.  None of this is hush-hush, and it's OK to talk about it if you want.

The linked panels you've noticed on the colorizer are correct, with the exception of the trailing edge panels.  I'll make the correction to that image, as well as remove the anti-aliasing to get rid of the edges around the colored panels.

If you ever have an opportunity for video (or pics) of good UL Mojo flying, it is always greatly appreciated.

Take care, have fun out there!

Original post below:

Take these steps

1 Blue Moon Website
2 Products
3 Kite Models
4 Mamba (or any)
5 Colorizer
6 Launch kite colorizer
7 Moonie diamond kite symbol (select a kite)

You will see 7 entries, not 6.
That 7th entry says  "Mojo coming soon (?)"

8 Hover over the Mojo icon and it says (in development)
8a The panel layout is my favorite of the many iterations the Mojo has had.
9 Color away (although some panels appear linked in color)

I haven't stated this on the Forum in a long time, but it is still true in my opinion.

The Mojo is the best flying sport kite ever made.
Oh, I know what you're thinking. How about tricks?

Well, at least the current model, with it's broadseamed sail will do all the spin tricks and that includes Taz Machines and 900s. It will do Jacob's ladders too. That includes the UL and the standard. Maybe Ken is getting into the pitch tricks with his "in development".

In any case, the "son of the Aerie AirFX" is a superb flier.

If, and when Ken releases it, there will be a few earmarked for Las Vegas and Kingman as Mark and Joe have flown my self-sewn UL a lot.

I have had 4 Mojos (JimB even sent me his as a present years ago), but gave 1 to my son and another to my daughter's boyfriend. We also have 6 AirFX kites. Yes, Bambi and I are Ken McNeill groupies.

So if you are only a flippy-floppy sport kite person, you could probably pass this one up. But, if you actually like to fly a kite and do many tricks interspersed, please consider the Mojo.

And, you would be supporting one of the few quality boutique kite makers left in the states.  Smiley

Might happen. You never know. Give Ken a call and order a couple of dozen. That should get the ball rolling.

This was posted by Ken back in November:

A couple months ago, I discovered something I'd forgotten about. Back in 2002, I made a paper "safety copy" tracing of my then-current patterns. They had been filed away in an old fly rod tube and wound up in a box in the rafters, not to be rediscovered until I started looking for some old pink fabric.

So, if there is any interest, the Mojo may again see the light of day. I've started making new patterns, and will probably make at least a couple for myself. Now I need to try and decipher the bridle marks from my old bridle board!

And did anybody see the new SLK in the album "Doodles in Fabric" Ken posted yesterday?

He hasn't got them into his blog yet so I can't post a teaser here, but if you aren't a friend yet over on that Face site, maybe you should get in a request. Ken seems to slip in teasers of his different projects in a few different places. This one is a sort of "Shades of the P38", whose heritage is based off the Ichiban. Oh Yeah!
