One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Paul told me about this a while ago... I've been waiting patiently to see the new sail pattern and for evidence to be out in the world (it wasn't my secret to tell!).

 Cool
What did it fly like? It looks like a WASP with 2 standoffs, Did Dodd get any 'modern' tricks out of it?

Thanks for those great pictures, John. That new Hydra looks really nice, great design. I like the panel layout better than the original. That prototype kite looks real nice, too. I like the simple band of color along the leading edges.
You are one lucky guy having the entire kite industry converge on your town every year. Thanks for sharing a bit of that with the rest of us...

Miguel Rodriguez Prototype

Winds were low, under 3 mph.

Kite has no weights or yoyo stoppers, it's still in the development stage.

Loud at 5 mph (achieved with some backing up).

Joe flew the kite in very light winds.

He got 540s, fades, Jacob Ladders, axels IIRC.

Perhaps he will comment on it.

Dodd was flying the prototype just to get pictures for me (thanks Dodd) so he didn't attempt any tricks.

not one of John's pix...but this will be VERY interesting...

Prism's  Zero-G gliding single line kite designed by ceewan.

I am afraid that we will see lots of these in REI and those customers are not going to be expecting this sort of kite.....so...that means 2 months after it is brought out check out the clearance section of rei!

Is that you?

I'd like to have seen you again.
Perhaps at Kite Party 10?

I'm pretty sure I remember Mark saying that it isn't for REI.

I have just started tinkering with gliding kites, and that looks like a good one...
