One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Come one Come to the greatest light wind festival. Can you believe that The Roseville Kite Festival is 15. Plan for the bad music of Magical Musical Mystery. The judges will be from the same pool. Hope to see you there.

SOHR

Held at Buljan Park on Hallisey Dr. in Roseville California

I'll have some of the new Prism single lines there.  Was hoping for a demo E3 but no luck.

Hope to see you there Jayson, the wind usually forgets to show up, but SOHR always makes up for that and keeps the event entertaining. Regardless there will be kites there capable of flying in Roseville winds. It's really not that bad though, I've always got in quite a lot of flight time.

Participation in the Magical Musical Mystery comp is mandantory, all in fun, judging is based on who brings the most candy to bribe the judges  Tongue

Last year's wind. It had it's ups and downs...

The big lull at about 1PM coincided with the Magical Mystery Torture Time.   Huh   Cry

Nice graph Allen.  Cheesy

And here I had hurried to put the tailweight and upper spreader back on the Widow Maker in time for my call, and flew it downwind to the staging area.

Silly me, where's a graph when you need one?

edit: Found the flier, last years official times were 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Lost the flier from last year, always a safe bet to say 12-4 but the Bells who organize the event will be there from sunrise until well after 6:00 in my experience. Us Chico area folks tend to show up around 9am and usually any fliers from the Bay area have already arrived. There has never been any other organized activities scheduled for that day in the past so you can fly all day without conflicts.

Park at the west end of the park near or in the school parking lot, that's where the large kite & comp field is setup, the east side where the small parking lot for the park and the bathrooms are located is the family area, the vendors and sound guys will set up along that small parking lot. The winds tend to come from the South to South/West.

George, you'll likely need something that flies in light wind. I'll bring my Bulldog but there probably won't be enough wind to fly it.
Strange, only a few days to go and nothing from Bob or NotBob.

I'll be there in 3 days, though!  Wink In any case, see ya on Saturday.
