One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Do not expect the next great sport kite to save the world.
Do not expect too much made in the USA.

A very cloistered feel to the event.

Miguel Rodriguez was not allowed into the event as he did not have
a booth or own a retail store.

I barely made it in and had rules to follow.

The booth people themselves were very congenial and welcomed the
chance to have their wares photographed.

Prism's 2 new kites will sell very well, although the only sport kite by
Prism to be seen was on the back of Mark's T-shirt.

Booth people outnumbered the store owners, although I was only there
for a few hours on the first day.

There were several kites I liked, including ITW Paul De Bakker's new ones.

I'm off to the Friday Night Fly, but wanted to get the pics up for everyone.
I'll probably be doing more adding, deleting, touch up and text over the
next several days.

And, sadly, I am probably the only look into the event we should all want
to know about. The lack of promotion for KTAI is amazing.

from looking at the pics, into the wind gets my vote for best booth. some of the focus designs kites being made by itw should make for smiles on some faces. i've never seen the george peters pterosaur listed as in stock on their site but the kite looks awesome and probably moreso in the sky. his sweet dragonfly looks bigger and more fun than i thought as well.

I flew the Rev B2  for awhile last week. Nice kite. Really (to me at least) its the Backpack (arrggg, not that I'm stuck on that name I can't recall if it's correct. The small Rev that Revolution made for awhile). That is not to say it's not different/improved. While it's still a little touchy (quick) but this is the nature of a smaller kite. I think it does handle better then the Backpack did.

How nuts is that kite  ?.

Any flying device with canards is awesome! And that saddle wing is so hot.

The Plutz is a super sweet flyer.....
climbs very well and you can get some fantastic glides out of it....cannot wait to see how Prism does with it!
