I thought I'd post a link to the photos album I'm setting up during my latest kite build. That is, I'll be adding photos as the build goes on. I suspect this will take me 30-45 days.
It's a 525 flow form kite with a stepped trailing edge. This requires that the top skins break out from the top of the outer rib and get sewn down the side of the outer rib.
The long pieces of fabric are 25' long. I've found that my bobbin hold less then 50' so it requires that the bobbin be reloaded after every seam.
In the future I'll need to put together some tails but in the meantime, after the kite is completed, I'll be making drogues. The drogues will have 4' openings and be 15' long.
