One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Scor-tape seems to be fairly easily found on the web and that auction site.

Seems that I found some 1/8" tape a few years ago during a trip to the big city. Had to be JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

THe 1/8 inch seam tape for quilting works but will dissolve if the kite gets wet.  MOst of the seam tape in fabric shops will so you have to use c30 or 3M 9430.  Talk to Steve to see if he can get it and if not then talk to Steve and he should have both options in stock in 3/16 inch.  Confused? Don't be Kitebuilder is another Steve Tongue

And to keep you from getting more confused Anthony means 9460PC tape.

What type of fabric are you taping? C3 is recomended for Nylons while 9460PC is best when using Icarex/PC31.

Thank you all for contributions and clarification.  I've checked out 3m's website and it seEms many of their pages are down at the moment.  I'll keep an eye out and check my local sewing shops for some quilters tape.

You can find it at Michael's, too. I did.   Probably at other craft stores as well.  I know that some fighter kite makers use it with good success.  I also use it to set the spine on some of my fighters.
