Welcome to the GWTW Forum.

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

NOT on a 1.5 though….NEVER liked the sle in a 1.5…..
I was able to get a couple hours flying in yesterday and the wind was about 10 to 12 mph. Normally I would never put up any of my Rev 1`s in that kind of wind.
Having discovered in the back of the kite corner, a long lost REV 1 sle a while ago, I decided to put up a (self)vented Sedgwick Rev 1 with the sle and give it a try.
WOW!! With the added stiffness it was way fun on/with that size of kite. The 4 wrap would have been too bendy and I`m not a fan of doubling up the le… Note that in the 0 to 2-3 mph range I like my Rev 1`s sproingy…2 wraps all the way….race and 4`s up to about 7-8…then the 1`s get put away… However the added stiffness and weight of the sle in the 10+ mph made it quite pleasurable and I was able to maintain the slow, precise gracefulness of a Rev 1.
After a while the wind picked up a bit so I switched to a vented 1.5 w/4 wraps so my arms wouldn`t get pulled off…
All in all a great (re)discovery.

I took out the 4 wrap leading edge and put a SLE in the Rev 1 on my Progressive Stack.  Changed it from an enjoyable but finicky stack to an AWESOME stack!

Like you say, "Praise" to the SLE  Smiley
