One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I'd rather listen to the wind, the kite, the birds, and such things.

YMMV

I guess I am An iPod victim.  I haven't listened to an album in years.    An albums full of songs can last an artist an entire career now!  Smiley

On days when the winds is perfect and exciting for some tricks it will be progressive trance by Armin van Buuren
On days with some light winds enough to tricks and no excessive moves to keep the kite in the air, it will be reggae by S.O.J.A
On days with a warn sunset and some gentle sea breeze, it will be the sound of the waves and the kite itself...

Now i started flying revs and only in medium winds, i try to make the kite moves to the Root Reggae sounds with the sun back-lighting it Smiley

I'm with Wayne. No music, except:

People in the park talking or playing sports
Birds
Kids yelling
Kite and line noise
People coming up and asking questions

It's all good stuff.

Wearing the earbuds says, "Don't bother me." Which is fine if that is your intention.  Smiley

Hey,

I have a ton of stuff I listen to for practising ballet I generally use film music or classical music that's between 2 and 3 mins.

For general messing around trance or techno is awesome but... I can't wear my earbuds easily cos it takes all the line and wind noise out and I am just not good enough to pull off anything when I can't hear the kite.

My solution is to get one of those practice amps so I can hear both.. either that or a portable boombox thing... not hearing the kite at all does not work for me.
Cheers
John
