Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Your expectations of the SUL drive your decision.

A big point (for me) are yoyos - one pop and easy-peasy yoyos and SULs usually don't mix, although many will 2-pop (not all of them easily). Then you've got cometes, insanes, JLs, etc.

If you are willing to give up yoyos and some other tricks, lots of kites can fly in no wind.

The most expensive kite in the world is a bargain if you fly it and it brings you joy and happiness. The world's cheapest kite is waste of money if it spends its life in a dark corner of your closet.

The price of the TNT is so high priced, what makes it worth the  extra $$$$?

Let me reverse your thesis. A Fearless SUL is $475 on top of that $60 for shipping plus 20% customs exercise duty plus fees. By the time that kite is in my possesion in Europe it costs me 650 american bucks (485).

Otherwise I totally agree with Lee.
You could have taken up a much more expensive hobby ...
