One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Took a bit of a break from the dual lines.  Heres a vid of my pop can train (Steve's way of training them) in action.  FUn way to do an SLK set up and definitley gets some curious looks from people passing by.

Here is a bunch of pix of the Frido II...leaf shaped...lots of curves on them....they can be bridled stable, or active....one super long flexible rod around the outside and a spine....
the problem with them is that if you break the long rod you might not be able to get it out...and if you do you will not find a replacement easily....


BTW: there is lots of awesome stories in gomberg updates! take a few hours and go through them!

Did not see any pictures of Frido 2 kite  .  Would like to know more about the kite itself and how it works with stable and active bridle setting...

Active vs stable bridle settings i guess are a misnomer.......
The active setting is high up towards the nose......
The stable setting is about an inch ± towards the tail....

What helps this kite become stable is that the edges would fold back - it never really becomes stable....
It excels in flight off a branching line as in my video above....the top most one is bridled more to the stable setting and the rest are high up the nose...to fly one as a single Frido was anticipating active flight like a wala or long bottom pterodactyl (it was not great at that).....

Mostly single color icarex...there were a whole bunch made that had a jack-o-lantern type face on them.....the face did not help the flight......
