Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

If you look around DC there's no wind. It just looks like its sucking everything in that gets near it. A Black Hole.

Cool map btw

With Google's penchant for joking around, I wonder if that's a political statement.   Cheesy

Why from Google?

"The wind map is a personal art project, not associated with any company."

The article where I found this link attributed the work to Google computer scientists and said that it may be incorporated with maps at some point.

I though it looked pretty neat, but if you zoom in you find out fairly quickly that they don't seem to have that many data feeds.

I still use IE and the map doesn't display for me.  Last time I tried downloading Chrome, it completely hijacked every browser based function is sight, in spite of my selecting "NO" for all such installation options. The only work around was to uninstall it.  GMAIL doesn't work very well with IE, either so for me, it's IE or Firefox and a big NO THANKS to gargle.  Sorry for the hijack and the rant, rant, rant.........
