One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hi all,

I'm from California, and I started flying dual-line kites in my late teens.  I was a member here (but it's been so long, I've been purged from the system!!   )  My boyfriend didn't really like flying, and I eventually just gave up trying to get him interested.  Well, we split nearly three years ago (in May), and I have to say, I've never been happier!  I've started picking up old interests again, and I came across my kites in our garage last week.

So, I went out flying, and realized I had forgotten almost everything!  It took me a half hour to remember how to land (read: not crash-land) a kite!  I'm still re-learning a lot (just started doing axles and turtles yesterday)... And I can now land my kites pretty reliably!

Of course, this is So. Cal, and not the part with beaches, so I'm going out solo.  I don't have my old computer, so all my links for kite videos and tutorials are gone.    Could any of you point me to some really great tutorials online?

Also, if anyone's from Riverside, shoot me a PM!

Well, the relationship was 6 and a half years, but I appreciate your point! 

And yes, I'd love any information I can get!!  I haven't been around for the last week... My supervisor was out of the city, so I had a double-workload for the last two weeks.  But I'm less stressed right now, and I hope I'll be able to fly again in the next day or two.  I actually snapped two lines (but I only expected to snap one of them!), but that's a story for another time.
