I'd love to see some darker, "forest green" kites out there. You're right, they don't seem to be very popular, but that shouldn't stop you. Perhaps you will be a trend setter! No matter which color you choose, however, may I suggest you take advantage of some of the shapes you can achieve by using uniform colors throughout the center sections?

I think your layout really shines when using a more linear design across the panels rather than focusing on just the diamond shapes in the very center. It gives it a sleeker look, in my opinion.
YES greens!... i have a wonderful dark green in both of my talons.... so i'm biased.
