Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Went to South Padre Island last week for a rest and took along a couple of kites.  Have not flown for several years so it was an opportunity to blow the dust off.  Weather was great and the beaches mostly free of people.

So I took out my Cheetah and found the upper spar was missing!   Well I saw a kite store on the way in so will go back later.  In the meantime I put up a star box and got it to tumble a bit.  Went to the kite store and got a replacement spar for the Cheetah and headed back to the beach to launch the kite.  Wow, what a blast!  Had a lot af fun and a few of the few beach strollers commented on the kite.

The week ended too soon but now I have to dig out the kite bags and get some more stuff out.  All my kites are from the early 90s and there are some interesting kites hidden away - a lot of TOTL and two line kites from the UK.  Forgot how much fun kite flying was.
