Anyone know where I can purchase one of these Black Moon kites or are they custom made?

Those are made by New tech kites.....Steve here should be able to get them....
http://www.newtechkites.com/categories.php?category=DESIGNER-SERIES/Robert-Brasington
They were designed by Robert Brasington of Tasmania.....
There are the Evening Star & Moonlight star....
Then you can get original pieces by Robert from Windswept Kites as well - a new box of pieces are on the way too....

Thanks thief.   I see they have a video on that site as well.  I think it looks better without the tales. Definitely a unique kite.

I am thinking that the one in the video is an original by Robert....I know that he has not made any of this design any time lately......

The ones ones from New tech will be a bit cheaper.........

The Moonlight star is a nice looking kite.  I've enjoyed mine.

ANother one you might like if you like the moonlight star is the Sky Song also a brassington design for new tech.  Steve can get them for you and they run like $35 IIRC.

Definitely check out Windswept on the side here. Roberts pieces are simply beautiful. His website has more. I'm sure Windswept can help you out with his other designs.

After this post btw, I had to get one also...

pretty stable, and very impressive in the sky for its size. Will handle 20 mph easily...
