One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The local newspaper got wind (pun) of my kite flying at a local park and it being a small town and apparently a slow news day, decided to plaster my ugly mug on the front page with accompanying article on my kite flying. By coincidence the paper was sent it out free to everyone in town as a promo for the paper (they do this twice a year).  I thought the reporter did a good, accurate job though. So much for doing my duty of promoting the sport of kite flying. It was a fun process. Have I seen an increase in interest in kite flying here? Nah, oh well, I tried Sad At least all the parents can be assured their kids are safe since everyone in town now knows what I look like.

Nice Tony, I guess they don't get the issue online for a few days? I'll have to check back.

Thanks mike. I've been checking the online issue also, but I noticed that there are some articles that show up only in the news stand issue (maybe so they can still sell at least a few news stand issues?)
