Looking to buy a new UL

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I know this is an old topic, but rather than start a new one...I'm a newb and looking to buy a UL for the summer months when the winds die down here in IL. I know you should test drive and I'm having a hard time getting to festivals, but can someone recommend forgiving UL's for starters that won't break the bank? I've been looking at the swap meet, but I don't even know what I'm looking for. I have Prism's now, but not necessarily looking to stay in the family.

You can still find some used or new old stock Prism Flashlights out there...

It depends on dollars you want to spend as well. Flashlights are ok starters, as is a shadow, 4d takes a littler touch and is small
Lotsa choices based first on dollars then on what you want to do with it in what wind
