One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

I recently picked up my new fox pro UL.
I havnt had the chance to fly it yet as i went to the lake for the weekend and the beach was a sloppy mess.
I did get some decent vid with the sea devil which i hope to post soon!

Only one standoff each side?  Wow, that's a significant change from the standard

That is - it looks a little flatter to me as well, is it?

Yup! single standoffs.

The stand offs on the STD and UL are both 11'".
It probably just looks shallower because the single standoff.

I cant wait to fly it!

YOu probably know already but its not surprising he went with only 1 stand off.  The shallower wing angle can really help maximize lift in low wind with more wing area presented and it also lowers drag at the tips.  THats one way I get  a bit more low end out of my kites is by moving the outer standoff in.

Maybe I should cut a longer set for my old' Sliva Fox falsettoUL ? Wonder about a measurement for the  bridles on this new Silver Fox pro UL?

I feel strongly that some kind of UPDATE SHOULD BE MADE TO THAT OLD ORIGINIAL BRIDLE..ANYHOO?

FalsettoUL? never heard of that one.

I personally like my 2.5 UL..I did end up changing the bridle around a bit ....
I think its mixed betweeen the blue and red beads.
Many people didnt like the stock fox pro STD bridle settings.....I have mucked around with mine so
much im not sure where home is anymore.

I measured both bridles and matched my STD to the UL
Here is a diagram if anybody wants to know what the stock UL settings are.

FalsettoUL? never heard of that one.

"FALSETTO UL" MEANING...THE VERY HEAVIEST UL IN BOTH BY KITE BAGS? Fun kite...but to call it a true UL is "QUITE A STRETCH?"

Yes i agree with you, the ul's are def not very light.
The pro does seem to be a smidge lighter than the older ul's
