Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I seems most people missed the OP.

Totally.  It's par for the course.  Questions about a specific kite generally turn into laundry list of everyone's favorite kite, so it follows that a question about line length for a particular purpose will turn into everyone's favorite lineset  Roll Eyes

Yeah, I was one that lost my grip on the original question as a read through the posts Grin I was actually thinking about the original question then as I read down...drift

Ive flown most of the different versions of the SD. All worked & looked good on longer lines. I've flown it on 125' lines and it worked as well without any issues I remember. I'm not sure that going from 30 to 40m will make a huge difference with precision but definitely noticeable. If it is for a competition, I would fly the longest lines I felt comfortable with.
