One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

There was a new kiting family at the Friday Night Fly.

In between flight lessons with the parents, I spoke with the kids (7, 4, and 1)

I guessed each of their ages as a way to break the ice.

I told the 4 year old, she was 4, but she vehemently told me she was 5.

The mom said that the child had been saying that for 3 years now.

So, to help warm the kids up in dealing with an adult, I asked them to

guess my age.

The 7 year old boy, looked at me and said with a sigh,

"I have no idea."

The 4 year old girl yelled out, "I know, I know!"

"You're very, very old."

She looked harmless, but watch out for the kids.  Huh

That's really nice that she was polite and guessed you were younger than you really are!!!

Cheers,

The correct response for "Are you old?":

"For an apricot, yes. For a head of lettuce, even more so. But for a mountain I am not even begun in years. However, for a man I am just right."

Almost every Friday (Holidays on Fridays no one shows).

We will be there again this coming Friday from about 5 pm until 11.

The Gold Coast casino is a little over 11 miles away. Just Google map

from Gold Coast casino

to New Silverbowl Park, Henderson, NV.

We'd love to see you again Mike. We even have some stacks.
