We are pleased to announce that after many years of searching for a replacement to our ‘well worn’ L’Atelier Lithium’s, Team Too Much Fun will be partnering with our good friend Paul de Bakker and will now begin to fly the Jinx. Paul has been on the kiting scene for more than a decade and his kite designs are well known around the World. The Lithium set the bar pretty high in terms of what a ‘team kite’ should be and it has been a tough challenge to find something to fill it shoes. After much searching though, we consider the Jinx a more than worthy replacement and are extremely excited for the season to come. We can’t thank Paul enough for the hours of work he has put in to these kites and the wonderful support and encouragement he provides.

Thanks,

Mark

We have tested each of the kites (UL, STD, etc).  Right now we have rec'd our UL's.  STD's are being built as we speak.  We will eventually be getting SUL and VTD.  But since Paul/Nic are building these themselves, we are doing it in stages, to keep it manageable.

Thanks for the nice thoughts.  We are very excited at this new opportunity.

Excellent choice.

I flew Mark's Focus Jinx this year and really enjoyed the "big kite feel".

Having flown and still flying Lithiums, I believe you have made a logical

step up in a more modern version of large kites.

Looking forward to seeing your routines.  Smiley

So happy for Mark and TMF, for them to enjoy the kites!

I explained the background of this collaboration (or atleast my side of it) on Mark's facebook page.. (everyone befriend him!!!)

Thief, they are not Focus Jinxes, Hunter owns the Focus name, logo and the rights to use it, I do not. We both own the rights to use the designs that came from the Focus-period. But they are certainly not ITW Jinxes either. They are built by Nic O'Neill and myself in Washington State.

I have a couple of new designs on the drawing board to play with in the fall but in the meantime, am enjoying the festival season , my sewer Nic Wink, and possible interest in Jinxes...

That was my question. I would give a lot for Paul to make me a Manta.

Just for fun, here's a Jinx UL without a composite background

Glad to hear the Jinx is back in production, the UL has been my go-to light wind competition kite for the last two years and is still one of the nicest kites I've ever flown.

Can't wait.  Jinx Standards are on their way right now and SUL's will arrive in time for Brookings, OR kite event.  It's gonna be a hell of a year!!!

More photos to come.

I know a guy that flies a Jinx. He always seems to beat me at competitions. Not saying any names but he owns a kite like the orange one in the photo above.  Wink

The Skate, Manta and Hydra designs are now all licensed to ITW.
