Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

The city of Fairfield just opened a new community park in Cordelia Village, south of I-80 and west of -680.  We walked the block from the house over to the ceremonies, and found a perfectly flat multi-use field that is around 500X1500'.  Next too it is a nice playground and covered BBQ/picnic area.
The winds will be out of the west in the ten-fifteen range until mid September.
I am thinking a kite fly and BBQ this summer is in order.
The park is located twenty minutes from Napa, forty five minutes from Sac and SF, and maybe an hour from San Jose.

I flew for the first time at the field today, and the first time I have flown in over a year.  In the middle third of the field, a hill to the west drops the wind to SUL like from the 15-20 MPH at either end.  Before the refreshing delta breeze kicks up in the evenings.
The grass is real thick as I learned the hard way doing a tip stab.  I need to dig out the spares and replace the upper LE on my Mirage now.

FireCSI-I need to figure out my work schedule. Maybe the 18th or 19th of August.  I could be coerced to pick up a couple tri-tips and some chicken from Costco...
