All up ready to fly without the roll bars it weighs in at 228 grams thats about 8 Ounces.

Hmmmm... 228gr doesn't sound like a true SUL...


It is not the only SUL of this weight level.
Sportkitedesign's Seven SUL is 232g.
And it really feels like SUL.
So I suppose those specs are OK...

Hmmmm.... according to JoE web site the Talon SUL is 173g (without tail weight)...

Those specs should be ok. The Essence SUL isn't the lightest SUL out there.
True SUPER ultralight kites can go much lower in weight but trickkites also need some mass to perform tricks.

I've flown mine in very low windspeeds, but you'll need some technique for low wind flying/tricking.

Just finished a new Essence STD to replace my old White/Slate version.



The sky-blue panels are double layered for more 'color pop'. Flew it for the first time today, but need to try in more wind.
