One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I know someone can help me with this quickly. Yesterday I noticed I was getting a "bump" in my sail around the LE ferrule (Quantum). I determined that my leading edge wasn't getting pulled tight enough with the shock cord tensioner so I figured it's time to switch over to bridle line. I know I've seen it, but for the life of me I can't find the step by step for replacing it with bridle and the proper way to knot it to get ready to fly. Thanks.

If it helps I'll try to post pictures, but it's pretty clear what the problem is.

You can alway move the knot down on the bungi cord to tighten it up.  Smiley

Not sure you want to change out to bridle line. I see this on kite with bowed leading edges.

To change out the bungi cord use bridle line a little longer than twice as long as your bungi cord. attach the same way. Run both line through the nock, back down through the hole or fabic tab and then back over the nock. The knot will need to be where the bridle line meets the nock to lock it in place.

Oy. I can't believe that I didn't check with Prism.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. Rookie mistake.

I agree with the endcaps. I need to find proper sized ones.

Steve, our host has stocked them in the past.  Ask for Dorsal Caps and you'll sound like an old timer. Wink

Best to use black Dacron line.
Proper "Dorsal" cap would be the .313 long.
If you are interested I can send you line & 4 caps for $4.00 shipped first class mail.
Drop me a PM or email if interested.
