One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Oh yes, came early to KP7 and stayed late ... looks like that's the way 2010 will also be planned.  What a blast putting faces and given names to screen names.  Got to see some really great kites ... SLK, dualies and REVs.  Flew my first dualie ... thanks again Mike.  Oh, and almost wore out my SUL by flying for six straight days on the beach ... a little tape and it might be okay for next year ... maybe.

Dave, thanks again for KP7 and please count me in for KP8!!

Cheers,
Tom

Still hoping to make it with my wife (getting married on 11/14), maybe make it an "all aboard" post-wedding event for all who would like to loft a kite with us in celebration. Smiley

All is still on track. I'm waiting to hear back from the owner of the new hotel across the street about special room rates for us. The guy called me a few weeks ago and wants to be a part of it. The plan is to still be on BOTH sides of the pier, and the city is still willing to throw some money into this one to help with the costs. Much needed this time, since as you may or may not know, my shop (trailer!) was taken off the pier in September and I've been working out a 20' shipping container. I'll be resuming my meetings with the president of the Conference and Visitor's bureau in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned. KP 8 is the weekend of March 13th. Thank you.

Dave

Any thing I can do to help, let me know.  Any plans for name tags?  I was thinking that pouches with a lanyard may work better.

let me know,

Great to hear that it is still on track Dave.  Again, if there is anything we can do to help, let us know too.

Also, not sure what grand plans you still have for this years event, but feel free to PM on that too.  I know I had spoken to Stephen a while back about this one.

Thanks,

Mark.

Any updates on the new hotel offering us a special rate?

 What other hotel/motels are nice and close for us to consider?
-------
Is it the Best Western and Sun 'n Sands that are the closest?
