One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Dave

Sounds great so far!

Would it be possible to get the city to discount the rates for kite fliers at the RV facility there on the beach for the event?

Very nice  Cool

Anybody know of a source for that tubular plastic used for the tails on the Peter Powell's and TRLBY's? I've done a couple searches with no luck so far, looks like they need some too.

I could use that resource also, upon launch of the stack one of the tails broke. I guess after 25 years they get a little brittle.

by the way this was the maiden flight for these kites, I traded some "new in the tube" Rainbow Stunt Kites

The story behind the launch: I started with 6 to test the pull, after catching a tail the last kite started spinning

We attached the second set of six, but the last kite did not pass the pre-flight check, hence having only 11 in the sky

The pull was heavy, but the tough part was turning, I had one arm fully extend and the other all the way back and they would slowly change direction.

I was surprised that the ground passes didn't result in a nose dives

all in all it was a great flight and now I can reach all those items off the top shelf
