Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Having met thousands of kiters, there are only 3 I would like to meet at that event. And I certainly would not want to meet me there.  Huh

"Family Values" eh?

I'm not sure how much my family would value seeing me in the buff... flying a kite. It would be off to the looney bin for me.

i'm happy to see people willing to try something new by having their first ever kite festival.  Cool

just a shame they have an event on their calendar called 'skin to the wind' and yet it's not the kite fest.  Huh

This is a safety warning.  Beware of slack line tricks in the buff.  Those loose lines going everywhere could end up doing harm.  I am always snagging my lines on things hanging off my trousers.  What happens when you don't have trousers on.

Nude flying adds a new dimension to tip wraps and lawn darts.

It adds incentive to keep hands at the sides and stop cross-body pulls.

For rollup protection, connect the leader line to the wrist straps.

De-tension and shake off tip wraps; risk of re-tensioning if done too vigorously.

Flail and Yank & Spank techniques and Comets are discouraged.

Thors Hammer in the air and at the other end of the lines is a Mini Gem.

The macho guys wear crazy eight winders.

Remember to apply the sunscreen.

Moving from parking lot to kite field: Walk of Shame.

If it's cold, you'll see a lot of Blue Moons and Microns.

We will be at Mountain House, CA on the 13th, and the "red eye" to Chicago is booked solid for that night. Sad
