One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

are we talking about the 6" Straps he shows on the web page?

No, he doesn't have any of Norm's Custom Flight Straps listed on his webpages. You'll have to call him.

Very Nice straps. I bought mine at A Wind of Change (my local kite store). Saw them on dislay and had to buy them.  Cool

I'm still looking for pics, or a description, or something to justify the expense and extra effort in tracking these down. I guess the glowing reviews from certain members should be enough, but color me curious. Can anyone help?

Steve here at GWTW/Chico Kites is the only store that had the flight straps listed on his webpages. Too bad I can't go back in time, but you know what they say about hind sight.

Thanks. They look good. Soft (climbing-type?) webbing sounds very comfortable. Next time I order from AWoC, I'll ask about what stock they might still have around.

Oh wow,  I have a pair of those and didn't even know it.  Steve sent them to me when he was out of some other straps.  They are awesome!  Joe,  you *do* want these!

Edit to clarify: mine are the wrist straps

These are my 3 finger straps, and very nice they are. I don't know what sort of webbing Norm uses but they are very soft with lots of adjustment and very nice stitching. Worth tracking down if you can.

If you notice the Flight Strap ricipacants for forum participation is not restricted to CONUS.
I have shipped to Canada also.  Wink If you think you are intersted in a pair, you better get them while they are still available. As for poor ol' Joe he's out $24.51 (Canada) and still no straps in sight.  Cheesy Cheesy

Yep, weather says you're going to get some California sunshine again. 6 mph was a perfect wind speed to nail down the 4 respectable AVFFF's. Don't sit out on the porch too long waiting for UPS. Better you use that time for making dinner and keeping moma happy.  Cheesy
Keep um high in the window for now. When you get to the field and before you start flying: Ask yourself; What did Norm recommend for me to do?? The ones in the TOP OF THE WINDOW looked good.

What's with the new grip.....show me.....pics.......inquiring minds want to know???

I've been trying to get 4 clean AVFFF since the challenge was laid down... Joe, you're closer than me. I just wanted to see if I could do that many in a row, and it's tough. Put a regular FF in between, makes it a lot easier. That's not the challenge, I know...
And anyone that can do this on inland winds, my hat's off to you !

Glad you joined in, Rob. I personally think you're sand bagging poor ol' Joe. I've watched your VF 23 video a few times. You should be posting 4 AVFFF's real soon. As for Joe....he's laying low and isn't going to post anything until he's got um nailed down. As for me I went to Morro Bay today and test drove my new Talon Standard.....nice.....nice.....nice. Joe.....I had to buy moma a fish dinner, so don't feel bad, but it was worth it.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
