One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I'm new here.  My life has slowed down now and I've decided to resurrect an old hobby.  I took my old MEFM out last weekend and the standoff guides are broken.  Any idea where to get some?

I've been thinking I may have to fab something.  Is there a need for the guide other than to protect the lower spreader?  If I wrapped the lower speaders with Teflon would that not work?

Good idea Steve.  You've given me several ideas on how to fabricate that part.  I will be experimenting this weekend and will post the results here.
