One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I have a mini gem and when the wind is blowing the oysters off the rocks I get it out. It is a great kite axels are a blur when the wind is up and flat spin stuff is great fun. i have put the cross active bridle on mine as the original used to wear out to quickly. I really like this kite.

It's a really fast kite. I've rolled it up from a turtle and didn't even know I had done it. And it will give you two axels when you're only expecting one.

Yup, I have to drink 2 or 3 Mountain Dews before I can fly mine.  Wink

It's pretty quick.

Great color scheme.

These mini gem and alien type of kite were mostly a novelty for me. They're fun, but no where near the fun of normal sport kites.

I totally understand owing them though. If you're going to be a super hard core kiter, you need at least one alien or mini gem. It's nice to know you have it if you need it. Once you retire from super hard core kiter, you won't need it anymore because you'll never fly in high wind. You might keep it, but only to have if someone else might want to fly it.  Wink
