The Skate was a favorite of mine for years for indoor competition. The glides are long, slow and beautiful. It is possible to axle the Skate with gentle tension. It is personal preference but I think more agressive, quicker tugs of the line disrupt the easy flight of the Skate. I still pull out the Skate at now and then at competitions.
The Hybrid 200 is a bit more active. The axles can be tighter. It is a little quicker than the Skate but still glides great. The shape and spar design seem to give it a stiffer feel to me. It feels like I can be more agressive with the line and still preserve a decent flow to a performance. These days, I find myself reaching for the Hybrid 200 more often than the Skate.
The Hybrid 130 is quite a bit smaller & quicker than the Skate or 200. My experience is that it demands quicker and precisely timed jerks to get it going where you want it to go. More like a fighter kite. I've had mine for years and it has taken a while to warm up to it. It is not the one I'd pick for a competition.
