One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I'd already packed up the kites when I took a photo, but had to share one of my kite fields here on the Emerald Coast.  A sweet day and just a great place to fly.  Limited access due to parking being limited on the street.  Condo vacationers walk to the water without being a problem.  Just a great place!

Nice.  I've not flown down there but it's probably very similar.  Nice airport they built there as well.

I have flown in Destin and Ft Walton a long time ago, about 12 years ago. Bought my first good kite, a original Jam Session at a kite shop in Destin called Get into the Wind. The shop was on the left just over the bridge that crosses from Ft Walton to Destin. Is it still there? I'm guessing not.

Unfortunately that shop is no longer here.  Kittyhawk Kites in Haborwalk and the Okaloosa Board Walk is the only option.  They're good for the general tourist but not so good for a dedicated enthusiast.  It's disheartening when I ask the manager if they have any P200 rods and they act like I'm speaking a new language.
