Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Today FedEx delivered a Deep Space purchased from the swap meet.  Grin

When putting the kite away I found a full closet.  Roll Eyes

A quick count totaled 17 kites, 2 kite bags, & trunk full of accessories purchased over the last 11 months. Huh

When did my kite addiction start?    Shocked

Four SUL: Pro wren, Amazing, Air-zero, & Alan Brooks AB+
Six ULís: Mojo UL, Shadow, Zephyr, WM UL & STD, Mongoose UL & STD, Freestylist UL with STD ordered
Other Standards: JJF, Infinity, & Deep Space
And two vented kites: Mantis V2 & Silver Fox Vented

Is there a cure?

A support group?

To prove you're not addicted, give all your kites to me.

I will hold them while you take a few years to cure yourself.

It's a sacrifice I am willing to make.  Smiley

My wife came into my den today and looked at my pile of kites. She asked if I had gotten more. "I don't know what you mean, honey?"

If I haven't admitted it yet, does that mean I'm not addicted?

I understand John is willing to collaborate in your recovering, but he is too close to you, same town, that's no good, you need to send your kites to someone far away, much more far away, like in the other hemisphere...., someone like...., me for example?  Wink

Ouch that hurts.  Sad

My single line collection has been growing for 20+ years and takes up part of the garage and a lot of my wifes patience.  Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

To other forum members, John is one of the local flyers feeding my addiction.

He keep showing up with another kite to fly. My only saving grace is his collection include many kites no longer made which limits me in finding some kites.

Example. John holds the line of his Mojo UL and say Wayne, come fly this!  Huh After a 10 minute flight I was first in line for Blue Moon limited run on Mojo UL.

Giving John my kites will only encourge him to let me try other kites in his sable.

Hum... My kites taking an extended vacation in a exotic country in the southern hemisphere.
They should come back with some new moves, rhythm and maybe even a latin flair. Sounds intriguing.

I carry 4 kites and that may be twice as many as I really need.
