I need to replace a leading edge spar and the spine on my Infinity.  I have ready access to Skyshark spars but don't even know where to start for Dynamics. Should I be using a 5PT to replace the tapered DT15?  And P200 to replace the DT15 straight tube in the spine?

Thanks for any help! Smiley

Be aware that the internal diameter of Skyshark and Dynamic spars aren't necessarily the same. So you can't simply use the existing internal ferrule to link up a Skyshark and a Dynamic spar.

I had the same issue when the LE of my vented Silver Fox broke.

Dynamic spars can be gotten from A Wind of Change in the US. Don't know about Canada.

I know Wind of Change (link on the right) has Dynamics spars.  Smiley

I have three spare 5PT spars here and the leading edge ferrule fit in two of them.  The third was a bit tight so I guess it varies.  Anyway, does anyone know if the weight of the DT15 spar is actually 15 grams? If so I guess I will just swap in a 5PT.

Thanks again.

From the data I have the DT15 spar is actually 15.5 grams but I doubt anyone would notice the difference, if you have 5PT to hand I would use them.  Incidentally, I did read that Alex Belov ( Fourmatic) swapped the DT18 Lower spreaders from the Infinity Vented onto the standard and was of the opinion it was better balanced with the heavier spars.

I do have Dynamics in stock.  Steve should also have some in stock as well.  Let me know if you need any.

Let us Infinity owners know if you see any difference with the 5PT spars.

Thanks

And P200 to replace the DT15 straight tube in the spine?
fyi ... the T in DT15 stands for tapered.
D is for the brand Dynamic and the number is the weight in grams (+/-)
If it's straight, it would be called D15.
