One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

[DuPont Spinner]

Well...it's been a long, long time since I last visited this forum, and I see many new names now.  I've been away from kiting for the past several years while pursueing other hobbies and interests.  Anyway, the past three weekends have been spent on the Washington coast flying some of the kites that I've purchased and several that I built.  I'm glad to say, it's still just as much fun as its always been.

Hopefully soon, I'll get around to building three more kites that I've had in the back of my mind for some time now.  All three will be based on the Pizazz design, with a few modifications of my own.  I'll post a few photos in the weeks to come as to how they turn out.  Bye for now.

I'll let you explain that one, Spud.  I've used it on so many different forums over the years and I think you're the first one to ask.

uh all right Ken... 

Blasting caps in small bodies of water or sticks detonated in big bodies of water will cause concussion in fish pooled up for migrating.  They just float to the surface and make for easy meat harvest.  Illegal of course, not sporting much either.  But most fishing fanatics here in the PNW know or knew a old powder monkey with some interesting and sometimes terrifying, dangerous stories 'bout the ol' days when you could "walk across the river on the backs of the salmon".  Dupont of course is the brand printed on most of the aforementioned "spinners"...

Powder monkies are an interesting breed of construction or timber man.  Usually patient, thoughtful, highly intelligent renagade with a large wad of Copenhagen in his lower lip smiling clear eyes and a never ending grin when things go boom.  All of them I met were demolition experts from the military. All of them worked alone!!!  Good for philosophical quips and discussions about life, kinda like a street juggler, but just a bit more edgy...LOL!   

Never forget the time in my younger days Joe asked me too help him pack some fertilizer and desiel for that big stump the road builder couldn't dig out.  uh I got schooled that day, KABOOM!
