Very interesting PAW, I've done something similar with my HQ Jive 2 - extra standoffs, reworked/repositioned bridle, extra weight and reframe (6mm/P300/BD Nitro)

On the upside it will now do most tricks (that I can do) very well, JL's multilazies, slots and the beginnings of the Comete (just started learning this one).

On the downside, it has lost the nice rock steady fade it had out of the bag.

Have you found this new set up for the Maestro has compromised any other tricks?

Age and cunning will always overcome youth and skill!

In the bag - HQ Shadow, Prism 4D, Flying Wings Soul Mid Vent, HQ Jive (1), Spiderkites Zodarion, 'Paw' modded HQ Maestro ll, HQ Delta Hawk.

The Kite now has way more precision, control and trickpotential...but it makes more noise now...if I would not like the pimp, then I would not have spend about 6 hours to make this plan  Wink

When the Maestro II is changed, which only takes about an hour, the kite:
- has like no oversteering
- is slower
- is way more precise
- has a bigger windrange in both upper and lower
- handles bumpy winds better
- is more stable in backflip and fade
- is more easy to trick
- has more overall control
- does way more tricks
- makes more noise
...all this is, with the materials of the original kite, after the modifications !
If you want to use better materials, then use the upgrades step by step, it gets better & better...

I realize this is an old thread. Does anyone have the illustrations available? I have this kite and would like to see the mods.
