Welcome to the GWTW Forum.
Guests (non-registered users) can view the forum but are unable to post.  If you don't have anything to say then why would you bother to register?
One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

If you want to get your half axels (kick turns) looking good, you need to concentrate on keeping the spine horizontal through the entire move.
Try doing it during the day when you don't have to swat at all those mosquitoes.

I got to try some yesterday. Tried to focus on the wrist thing, and minimizing movements... Did not go all that well. I still end up giving too much slack i guess because it slows way down in the flare instead of snapping around.
When i reduced the movement of the tug and gave more slack it seems faster if i really pull on both lines to get it going the other way.

Tpat, i also attempted the "french" method. I guess i need to see a vid as it pretty much just resulted in a similar turn.
In my defense the wind was wierd, from a direction it never comes from and up and down, oh and i also stink at this :-)
