One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

Hey guys, I'm getting transferred from Boston, MA to Lexington, KY in April 2013.  I'm certainly going to miss these amazing off-shore breezes.  Goddamn, I'm going to miss the wind here.

Anybody flying near Lexington, KY?  Just want to get a feel for the area.  My hopes aren't very high right now, but damned if I'm not going to work past it. 

I'm going to miss the winds here so much.

Does the occasional tornado count? Can you fly on horse back?

I would check out those reservoirs and see if you can fly near them.  I see several parks close to them and several fields, worth checking out at least.

Ohio is close and pretty flat, which holds hope for wind geography wise.   I see that they have kite festivals in the area, so thats also a good sign.

Worse-case, take up indoor and then you can fly anywhere.
