One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.

Does anyone have or know anything about the Sky Burner II. I have bee looking for information on this kite and cannot find anything. It was purchased for my son back in the mid 90's and is still in execellent condition The  kite is signed Sky Burner II and with what looks like the initials CS on it. The sleeve for it is also signed Sky Burner II #6. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Hey I'm gettin excited!
I too have a kite with the initials cs on it and it has been tentatively identified as a sky burner " stardancer" by the  knowledgeable folks here . do a search of this forum for stardancer and see the pix I posted. Stardancer is a 3/4 size version of the pro dancer. I'd also like to see a pic or three!

I spoke to Jon Trennepohl at "Kites & Fun Things" this morning and he told me that the Sky BurnerII was the 2nd generation of the original Sky Burner and was probably the better flyer of the two models. The Sky Burner II had the addition of batens on the lower corners. While i was on the phone i ordered one of the last Widows he has in stock. Jon & Marieanne are both great people and i would enjoy getting to meet them some day.

That is an AWESOME kite. Great pull, super solid tracking, and a great high wind range for its time. Love the simple graphics too. One of my favorite classic kites by Jon, with the Prodancer. The Ken Nealy firebird that was produced through skyburner is also great.

Post more pics if you can!
