Hmmm, where to start??
You know you are going to need kite repairs when...
1) You fly your new kite for the first time.
(or even earlier - when you take it out of the bag)
2) The bridle line keeps snagging against the nose.
3) You get a kite out of the bag which hasn't been used in years.
4) There is a snapping noise during take off.
(damage during storage and transport).5) There is a snapping noise in mid-air.
(loose ferrule)6) Your partner comes home explaining that before assembly, she trod on the lower spreaders of the new SUL.
7) Your partner comes home explaining that before assembly, she trod on the leading edges of the SUL.
8 ) You tread on the leading edges of the SUL.
9) You have no spares of a particular sort. (Spares are a good-luck charm against breakage.)
10) The cat daintly sits on the kite, and you trip over the flying lines while reaching for the camera.
11) - And just very occasionally, when there is a snapping noise as the kite crashes.
