I picked up a shadow yesterday, took it out for a bit earlier today, nice flying kite, I like it.

Great choice, I'm sure you'll enjoy the Shadow. One tip I'd pass on, the knots on the bridle can slip as the bridle is tied from unsleeved Dyneema. If you rub a little Beeswax on the knots it helps to stop them slipping. If you find the kite is a bit 'spinny' (oversteers) after you have tried it a few times you can fit a 3 point bridle that stops 90% of it. Remember it responds best to gentle inputs, guiding it into you what you want it to do.
Did you get any weights with it? There should be 2 weights, one a piece of wire inside the spine that weighs around 4 grams and another 'barrel' weight of 12 grams that fits on the end of the spine for doing pitch tricks - yoyos etc. Some kites seem to come with both, some with one and some with none. I've found it flies best with just the wire weight fitted. In really low wind take this out too.
