One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

I went out over the weekend to assemble and fly my two large Stanfield kites, but unfortunately the wind did not cooperate, so it became a photo opportunity.

I've seen the name of that kite spelled Maryann in some articles, and Merry Ann in others. Do you know which is correct?

Rob, I think a Bobby Stanfield piece for my collection is going to be far in the future. I'll keep an eye out for them. I may have to start logging the names of his pieces so I'm ready when that day comes.

most of Bobby's kites were only a couple in each series.....one of the ones that he made more of is the Celestial Navigator series....these are higher aspect cellular pieces...

This is a CN:

This is the one i could get you:

There are 4 of these....i am not certain if Bobby named these or not....but two were sold on the East coast and two were sold on the west coast....i know where both the East coast ones are...and potentially one of the west coast ones.....

Bobby also made fantastic other kites too...diamonds...rollers....lots of options out there you just need to find them!

Here is a Natalie that Bobby made a couple of...this was sold on this forum:

here is a good example of one of the reasons a kite made by bobby is worth its weight and more:

Bobby is a pioneer in reverse applique technique as well as hand made a LOT of his own fittings....most of his kites are infinitely tweakable because of these fittings...

Charles: I am not certain which MarryAnn/MerryAnn/Marianne is right.....
