Guildworks Decas RULE!

One of the most popular sections of the GWTW Forum has long been the Swap Meet.  A great place to sell old, seldom flown kites or to get great deals on used (gently flown) kites.  Only registered users can see the Swap Meet section, let alone wheel and deal.  1000's (literally) of kites have changed hands thanks to the Swap Meet.
There are several more benefits to being a registered user, but you'll have to join our little community to find out all the "secrets".

So if you had to convince a Rev flyer to get a Deca, what would be your argument for it? I'm not lusting after a Deca because the Revs satisfy my quad line need. How does the Deca experience differ from the Rev? It's probably a different experience but I'd like to hear a marketing spiel.

The best response I've heard comparing flying a deca to a rev is:
"a deca flys exactly like a rev doesn't". This isn't entirely true, but there is definitely a difference. I still prefer my revs to my one deca.

He definitely prefers Decas over Revs and has a healthy quiver of them.

Okay...yes guildworks is still making their kites....single line, tri-line, and quad lines.....Mar is not doing the full selection of decas now (the 31 has been dropped, the A1urban only existed for a couple of kites, the minergy -standard wind- has been retired as well)....but he is still making....It is a pretty easy website to guess......

Decas vs. Revs...

i have flown both quite a bit (took a shower after the rev though  )....they are quite different beasts.....
the best way to describe them is that the Decas are more graceful artisitic free flowing....Revs can be extremely precise with perfect 90 degree corners....not so much with a Deca...in experienced hands they can be -but not mine....

Because the Decas skin is 3 dimensional it acquires different flight characteristics....it can be controlled via two handed push/pull flying..
a bit more to fill in later on about this.....

Slightly narrower window than a rev .... deca 6 is the wack it  flip-flopper  in just about anybodys hands.....

i have the 333 and that is a sweet 3 line kite to fly .. even in my living room on 6 foot lines
